I know I don’t post as much as I should. But I’ve been busy diggin for music. Kind of feels like way back when I first began DJ’ing. Thankfully I reminded myself of why I started in the first place. Just lovin’ the music.

Currensy is one of those young up and comers that you really gotta look out for. Yeah, he’s got some songs out right now that you listen to and just say “Ehhh”, that’s probably due to the slew of mixtapes he flooded the net with pre-2k10 (not a great move). Despite that here’s a dope video with a dope concept behind the song. Produced by one of my fav’s, Ski Beatz (producer for Jay-Z, Nas, Boot Camp, the list goes on…)
I love witnessing genres and cultures leaking into other genres and cultures. Here’s a good example: Alternative > Hip-Hop. You have a little sample of Rihanna & J’s umbrella and then some Colin Monroe-esq singing. Peep it after the jump.
